Florida Business Owner Survives Right Heart Failure Post Heart Transplant
Jack Dikranian is a husband and graphic design business owner from Tampa, FL. Jack was born with neuroblastoma, a cancer that starts in certain very early forms of nerve cells, most often found in an embryo or fetus. He received chemotherapy with the understanding that one day, he may experience issues with his heart. In 2009, Jack was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. He was able to manage the disease until August 2022 when he tested positive for COVID-19 and experienced a severe decline in his heart function, requiring a heart transplant.
On November 25, 2022, Jack received a heart transplant at Tampa General Hospital, and shortly after the right side of his heart began to fail. On December 8, Dr. Swaroop Bommareddi implanted Impella RP Flex to support the right side of Jack’s transplanted heart to allow it to rest. Thankfully, within days his heart function dramatically improved and Impella was weaned and explanted. Today, Jack is back to an active lifestyle, golfing, playing pickleball, coaching soccer and running his business. In January 2026, Jack and his wife, Tiffany, became parents and welcomed their precious daughter, Mila, into the world. He’s eternally grateful for the life-saving care he received and thankful for his loving and supportive wife.
