Mr. Michael R. Minogue is the Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairman of Abiomed Inc. (NASDAQ: ABMD). Since joining Abiomed in April 2004, Mr. Minogue has focused the company on heart muscle recovery with new cost-effective products developed in-house and by acquisition. During Mr. Minogue's tenure, Abiomed has received over 15 regulatory approvals on new products related to the CE Mark, 510(k), PMA and HDE. Prior to joining Abiomed, Mr. Minogue completed a successful twelve-year career at GE Healthcare. He departed GE as the Vice President of Americas Sales and Marketing for the $1B Information Technology business. From 1997 to 2004, Mr. Minogue held various global leadership positions in sales, marketing, service, product engineering and software development (3 patents awarded) and in various technologies such as MRI, CT, PET, Cardiology, and IT. The experience includes the diagnostics of diseases from cancer to heart failure to neurological disorders.

Prior to GE, Mr. Minogue served as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army for four years and 8 years IR Reserve, which included multiple awards, including Army RANGER and Desert Storm Veteran. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point and his MBA from the University of Chicago. Mr. Minogue currently serves on the executive board of directors for AdvaMed, and was formerly on the board for LifeCell Corporation (LIFC), which was acquired in May 2008.

Mr. William J. Bolt joined us in 1982 and has been our Senior Vice President for Global Quality, Regulatory and Engineering since September 2007. From 2003-2006 he was responsible for our quality and service functions. In 2006 he received responsibility for our regulatory function as well. He is currently responsible for all our engineering, quality and regulatory activities. He was responsible for all product development and the AbioCor program from 2000-2003, and for BVS and AB5000 development from 1999-2003. From 1994 to 1999, he was President of our dental subsidiary, ABIODENT. From 1982 to 1994, he served in various roles, from Vice President of Engineering to Vice President of Operations. Mr. Bolt has a B.S. in electrical engineering and an MBA from Northeastern University. University.

Mr. Robert L. Bowen is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Abiomed (ABMD), bringing more than 20 years of domestic and international management experience, as well as an extensive background in finance, business development and strategic planning. Mr. Bowen joined Abiomed from GSI Group, a publicly-held laser and precision motion supplier, with approximately $300 million in revenue, where he was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Prior to GSI Group, Mr. Bowen was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Cytyc Corporation, a leading women's healthcare company where he helped grow revenues from approximately $140 million to approximately $300 million. Mr. Bowen was also the Chief Financial Officer for Case Corporation's European Region and held several senior financial positions in the General Electric (GE) Healthcare, Trading and Lighting businesses, with assignments in the U.S., Asia and Europe for a span of 20 years. Mr. Bowen received a bachelor's degree in business from Ohio University and a master's in international business and finance from New York University's Stern School of Business.

Mr. Andrew J. Greenfield joined ABIOMED in January 2005 as Vice President of Healthcare Solutions, bringing to ABIOMED his expertise in six sigma and healthcare consulting. Mr. Greenfield held multiple positions at GE Healthcare from 1999-2005, including consulting with large U.S. health systems in the Enterprise Client Group, Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and Finance Manager. Prior to GE Healthcare, he held multiple positions in marketing and sales management at the Boeing Company including Program Manager and European Country Manager. He received his bachelor degree in finance from the University of Illinois, an MBA from St. Louis University, and is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and change management facilitator.

Mr. Michael G. Howley is the Vice President and General Manager of Global Sales and Marketing of Abiomed (ABMD). He brings more than 20 years of healthcare sales and marketing management experience, as well as a highly successful background in commercial sales achievements at General Electric Healthcare, with expertise in leading varying sizes of healthcare businesses ranging from X-ray imaging, PET/CT, ultrasound, Lunar bone densitometers to clinical information software systems. Prior to joining Abiomed, Mr. Howley spent 20 years at GE Healthcare. From 2006 to 2009, he was General Manager at GE Healthcare, overseeing the Americas X-ray and Interventional Radiology division, with revenues over $400 million. In this role, Mr. Howley developed strategic marketing campaigns directed to drive sales and X-ray portfolio adoption. In this role, Mr. Howley led the business to grow revenues and gain significant market share each year. Mr. Howley also held the General Manager position for the Clinical Information Systems at GE, a $200 million healthcare software division, where he drove the business strategy, messaging and strategic vision. Previously, he was the Americas Sales Manager of Functional and Molecular Imaging, where he led a hybrid model of sales specialists, a paradigm that was new to GE. Prior to this role, Mr. Howley held several other national and regional sales positions at GE, beginning his tenure with the company in 1989. Mr. Howley received a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing from Auburn University.

Mr. Stephen C. McEvoy is the Vice President and General Counsel of Abiomed (ABMD). Prior to joining Abiomed in 2007, Mr. McEvoy spent ten years at Biogen Idec, Inc., a publicly-held medical therapeutic manufacturer, where he served as Chief Operations Counsel and Associate General Counsel. At Biogen, Mr. McEvoy supported business development efforts, managed the legal aspects of global operations, supported the research and clinical development activities, developed and managed the privacy and compliance program, supported the preparation and filing of SEC required forms, provided general counsel to the Canadian subsidiary and provided legal support for international business activities. Prior to this role, Mr. McEvoy was an associate with Palmer & Dodge LLP. Mr. McEvoy received a bachelor's degree in international relations at Brown University, a master's in business administration from Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law.

Dr. Thorsten Siess joined ABIOMED in 2005 upon its acquisition of Impella CardioSystems, AG, which he co-founded in 1998 and has served as Manager of R&D, then Chief Technology Officer. His work in the development and marketing of the Impella 2.5 and 5.0 in Europe led to their CE Mark approval. During his time at the University of Aachen he developed the Impella technology which served as a platform for the entire Impella product portfolio. The products, which allow early intervention through a pencil-sized VAD, are now available in 70 centers in 11 countries. Prior to founding Impella, Dr. Siess served as Scientist in the Biomedical Technology Team at Helmholtz-Institute of Biomedicine at the University of Aachen in Germany. Dr. Siess received a Ph.D. degree as well as his MASc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aachen.

Dr. David Weber joined Abiomed in 2007 as the Company's Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Weber brings more than 15 years of management experience, including 13 years with GE Healthcare, where he most recently held the position of General Manager of GE Security’s Aviation and Transportation Business. He previously held the position of General Manager of Magnetic Resonance (MR) Marketing, a greater than $1 billion business within GE Medical Systems.  He has also held several positions in marketing, clinical application development and product development. Prior to joining GE, Dr. Weber completed a post-doctoral assignment at the University of Wisconsin in Madison where he received his Master of Science Degree and Ph.D. in Medical Physics. He has Bachelor of Science Degrees in Physics from Denison University and in Nuclear Engineering from Columbia University School of Engineering.
